Full Stack Developer

About the Role

Piper Companies is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer (React/Node) for a dynamic healthcare startup role supporting a remote workforce based on the East Coast. This position requires designing and building scalable web applications, handling both frontend development with React and backend services using Node.js within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack applications leveraging React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions tailored to healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features that align with business goals and user requirements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions while continuously improving system performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire application stack promptly.

Qualifications

• Possess 5+ years of full stack development experience with strong proficiency in React and Node.js.
• Demonstrate experience working in both startup/small company environments and enterprise organizations.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Have familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP alongside modern development best practices.
• Show a strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable system design principles.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $160,000 – $180,000 based on experience. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave as required by law.
