Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer at VortexWeb, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the full technology stack. You will work closely with the Delivery Manager, QA, and senior engineers to translate business requirements into well-architected, production-ready software.

This is a hands-on engineering role with end-to-end ownership of features — from database schema design through API development, frontend implementation, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications using React on the frontend and Laravel on the backend
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with proper authentication, validation, and error handling
• Design relational database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage migrations
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services into client applications
• Implement asynchronous processing using queues, jobs, and scheduled tasks
• Collaborate with QA on test cycles, address defects, and ensure release quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following team standards
• Provide regular progress updates and proactively communicate blockers

Required Skills and Experience

Frontend Development

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React (React 18 preferred)
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES2020+)
• Experience with TailwindCSS, Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form, React Router, and Axios
• Solid understanding of component architecture, state management, and frontend performance

Backend Development

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel (Laravel 10+ preferred) and PHP 8.1+
• Strong understanding of Eloquent ORM, Laravel Sanctum, Form Request validation, and API Resources
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of Laravel Queues, Jobs, Events, and Task Scheduling

Database

• Proficiency with MySQL 8 or PostgreSQL 14
• Ability to write optimized SQL queries and design normalized schemas
• Experience with Redis for caching and queue management

Infrastructure and Tooling

• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Comfort with Linux command line and basic server administration
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows (feature branches, pull requests, code review)
• Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing

Other

• Demonstrable portfolio of production applications you have built or significantly contributed to (GitHub, deployed projects, or case studies)
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs in past projects
• Strong written and verbal communication in English

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• TypeScript
• Docker and basic CI/CD pipeline experience
• Vue 3 (for legacy project support)
• Payment gateway integrations
• Experience with embedded iframe applications or third-party SDKs
• Open-source contributions or active public GitHub presence
• Exposure to international client engagements
