Role: Senior MERN Stack Developer (Founding Engineer)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer with 3+ years of experience to be the inaugural core developer in our engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to architect systems from inception, make critical technical decisions, build scalable foundations, and independently deliver production-ready applications with end-to-end ownership. If you possess the ability to build diverse web applications, including SaaS platforms, dashboards, marketplaces, AI-powered tools, automation systems, landing pages, and internal tools, this role is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Architecture & Development: Design and develop scalable web applications using the MERN stack. Architect backend systems with Node.js & Express.js, build secure REST APIs, develop modern frontends with React.js and Next.js (including SSR, SSG, routing, middleware, API routes), and design efficient MongoDB schemas with proper indexing. Implement robust authentication systems (JWT, OAuth, RBAC).
• Performance & Scalability: Optimize applications for speed, SEO, and scalability. Write clean, modular, and reusable architecture. Implement caching strategies (e.g., Redis) and perform database performance tuning and aggregation pipelines. Ensure adherence to security best practices.
• AI & Automation Integration: Integrate AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and build AI-powered features such as chatbots, recommendation engines, and workflow automation. Understand LLM workflows, prompt engineering, and RAG systems. Optimize backend logic for AI-driven applications.
• Deployment & DevOps: Deploy applications to production environments (AWS, Azure, Vercel). Configure CI/CD pipelines and manage staging and production environments. Debug, monitor, and maintain live systems.
• Ownership & Leadership: Make independent architectural decisions, take complete ownership of projects, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Build features from scratch with minimal guidance.

Required Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on MERN stack experience.
• Strong proficiency in: React.js (Hooks, Context API, state management), Next.js (SSR, SSG, middleware, API routes), Node.js & Express.js, MongoDB (schema design, indexing, optimization).
• Experience building scalable REST APIs and implementing authentication/security best practices.
• Proficiency in Git workflows (GitHub/GitLab) and production deployment.
• Solid understanding of clean architecture principles.

Advanced / Bonus Skills:

• TypeScript
