Full Job Description
ACROSSTEK™ is seeking a Full Stack Developer with exceptional experience in AI product development, MERN stack, and cloud architecture. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience building AI-powered platforms from scratch, designing scalable systems, and owning the full development lifecycle. You will collaborate on modern AI applications, scalable backend services, and cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on LLM integrations, AI workflows, APIs, databases, and production deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using the MERN stack. Build responsive and scalable frontend interfaces with React.js/Next.js and develop secure, high-performance backend services using Node.js/Express.js and MongoDB. Create reusable components, APIs, and backend modules for rapid product development.
- AI Platform Development: Build and scale AI-powered platforms/products from scratch. Integrate LLMs, AI APIs, vector databases, embeddings, RAG pipelines, and prompt workflows into production applications. Work on AI use cases like chatbots, document intelligence, workflow automation, knowledge assistants, recommendation engines, or custom AI copilots. Optimize AI application performance, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Backend & API Engineering: Architect RESTful/GraphQL APIs for web and AI products. Build robust authentication, authorization, logging, and microservice-ready backend systems. Integrate third-party APIs, SaaS platforms, payment systems, and AI services. Implement scalable database design, caching strategies, and data storage best practices.
- Cloud & DevOps: Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on AWS/GCP/Azure. Set up CI/CD pipelines, staging/production environments, and release workflows. Work with Docker, cloud storage, serverless functions, monitoring tools, and scalable hosting environments. Design cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Architecture & Ownership: Translate product requirements into technical architecture and execution plans. Take ownership of the product lifecycle from concept to deployment. Collaborate with product managers, designers, AI engineers, and leadership to build scalable solutions. Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
- Strong expertise in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
- Proven experience building AI-based products/platforms from scratch.
- Experience integrating OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini/Hugging Face APIs or similar AI services.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, RAG workflows, and AI application architecture.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, backend architecture, authentication systems, and scalable database design.
- Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment management.
- Familiarity with Redis, queues, background jobs, logging, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong ownership and communication skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Next.js and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or hybrid database systems.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or similar AI tooling.
- Experience building SaaS products, AI copilots, internal tools, automation platforms, or knowledge systems.
- Understanding of system design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
- Exposure to analytics, observability, and security best practices in production environments.
- Prior startup or product-building experience is highly preferred.
