Full-Stack Developer - SAP BTP with CAPM Java, Fiori UI5 (DER) - Gurgaon, India

Join SAP's Distributed Energy Resources (DER) team, a strategic initiative focused on delivering industry-specific cloud innovations for the evolving energy landscape. Our mission is to equip utilities with intelligent solutions to manage distributed renewable assets, support grid stability, and accelerate the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Full Stack Developer to contribute to the design and development of scalable cloud-based solutions on SAP BTP and/or S/4 ABAP within a global, agile, and cross-functional team.

What You Will Do:

• Develop high-quality, scalable software solutions that meet customer requirements using cloud and on-premises technologies.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and fellow developers to translate customer needs into robust software.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Actively participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing your technical skills and knowledge.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture through knowledge sharing and best practices.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proven experience in developing on SAP BTP using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) on JAVA and CDS modeling.
• Exposure to S/4 HANA, ABAP/ABAP OO, CDS views, RAP modeling, OData Services, and Fiori applications.
• Experience in UI development using HTML5, SAPUI5/Fiori Elements.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Extensibility Models (Key User, On-Stack Developer, Side-by-Side Extensibility).
• Familiarity with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Strong technical and analytical skills in SAP development tools and methodologies.
• Enthusiasm for working with innovative and rapidly evolving technologies.
• Excellent analytical abilities for complex business processes and solutions.
• Understanding of challenges within complex system landscapes.
• Good knowledge of IS-Utilities is a plus.
• Understanding of customer business processes and experience in customer communication is beneficial.
• Solid grasp of SAP Technology, Technology Strategy, Cloud Technologies, and Market Trends.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to BTP concepts (multi-tenancy, security), BTP development (Java, Node.js, CAP, HANA + Datalake), and deployment processes (CI/CD pipeline, monitoring, administration).
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

The Gurgaon-based DER Development Team is part of SAP's Industry Product Engineering (IPE) organization. We are on a mission to revolutionize the management of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) by creating next-generation tools for utilities to integrate renewables, enabling a flexible, resilient, and sustainable energy system. Our engineering efforts are centered around SAP BTP-based applications and services, with deep integration into the SAP Industry Cloud for Utilities. We are an innovative, high-impact team shaping the future of energy.
