Full Stack Developer

Island Computing Services is seeking a skilled Full-stack Engineer for our Bangalore location, with a primary focus on frontend development while maintaining comfort and proficiency across the entire technology stack. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in product and platform development, coupled with exposure to high-scale systems and cloud environments. This is a permanent position offering an opportunity to contribute to India's first real cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of core product and platform systems.
• Work across the full stack, with a frontend-centric approach (approximately 60/40 or 50/50 split).
• Address challenges related to large-scale systems and cloud scaling.
• Collaborate on solutions for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Experience: 6-10 years of professional software development.
• Proven full-stack engineering expertise, with a stronger emphasis on frontend technologies.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in building critical product or platform components.
• Exposure to the complexities of large-scale systems and cloud scaling challenges.
• A solid understanding of distributed systems principles and cloud infrastructure.
• Practical experience working within AWS or GCP environments.
• Candidates should have practical experience with real-world production-scale performance challenges.

Technology Stack:

• Backend: Node.js, Java, Python, or Go (Golang)
• Frontend: JavaScript, React.js
• Cloud: AWS or GCP (hands-on experience highly preferred)

• Experience working in both startup and established technology company environments.
• Proven track record with high-scale systems and robust engineering practices.
