Full Job Description

Techolution is looking for an experienced Fullstack Application Support Engineer to join their remote team. This role is critical for resolving high-priority production issues (Sev1/Sev2) and contributing to application development. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools. This position requires the ability to manage shifts independently, ensuring system uptime, stability, and a seamless support experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Automation (40%)

  • Debug, enhance, and maintain applications developed with Python and TypeScript.
  • Create automation scripts and tools to improve support operations efficiency.
  • Apply patches, fix bugs, and implement minor enhancements as needed.
  • Collaborate with development teams to boost application reliability, stability, and performance.

Application Support (60%)

  • Promptly troubleshoot and resolve Sev1/Sev2 production issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for application, infrastructure, and CI/CD-related problems.
  • Monitor system health using tools like Datadog or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Respond to alerts, manage escalations, and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain comprehensive incident documentation, RCAs, and update runbooks.
  • Partner with DevOps, Development, and Cloud teams to guarantee application reliability.
  • Adhere to managed services operational processes for smooth support workflows.

Required Skills:

  • Solid programming experience in Python (fastapi/Flask or Django) and practical knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting across various AWS services such as VPC, Security Groups, IAM, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Secrets Manager, and Parameter Store.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI or Jenkins, including pipeline monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Expertise with monitoring tools like Datadog (preferred) or AWS CloudWatch, including log analysis, metrics evaluation, and alert handling.
  • Understanding of operational workflows in managed services, including incident and change management, SLA adherence, and shift-based support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage production support shifts.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Basic familiarity with Kotlin and C#.
  • Experience with log management tools like ELK or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of microservices or serverless architectures.
  • Exposure to ITIL or ITSM processes.
