Fund Accounting – Business Analyst (Senior)

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating essential communication between business and technology teams to define product features.
• Working independently with minimal supervision.
• Providing technical guidance to the team and clients.
• Managing a deadline-oriented role, potentially requiring adherence to US time schedules.
• Participating in project management as needed.
• Mentoring, training, and inspiring staff to achieve project objectives.
• Proactively developing and delivering training on new initiatives for team members.
• Collaborating with technology and US teams to identify process improvements and foster a culture of automation.

Position Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience, with at least 2-3 years of senior experience in the Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) industry.
• Experience working on US-based asset management, fund accounting, and fund administration.
• A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory. An MBA or CA is a plus.
• A general understanding of US GAAP, mutual fund, and private equity fund regulations is advantageous.
• Versatility and a good understanding of working with technology platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Fair understanding of accounting tools/frameworks like Investran, eFront is an added advantage.
• Functional knowledge: Deep understanding of the WAM domain and capital market OTC derivative products (Equity, Commodities, Currencies, Rates, Cash, and Credit).
• Thorough understanding of financial statement sections: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and schedule of investments.
• Experience in requirements documentation and all stages of the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, build, test support, and implementation.
• Comprehensive understanding of product taxonomies such as positions, holdings, and transactions.
• Experience in documenting functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or R for tool-based analytics is desirable.
• Must be highly motivated, capable of handling all levels of complexity within the respective operational area.
• Meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent analytical skills, and effective interaction capabilities with various stakeholders.
• Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
