Frontend Platform Engineer
Full Job Description
At Manifest Global, we are seeking a Frontend Platform Engineer, AI Enablement (Angular) to join our team in Delhi. This role goes beyond traditional feature development; you will be instrumental in building and refining the platform that empowers our Quality Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to ship features independently and safely, with AI as a core enabler. Our engineering team already leverages AI-assisted workflows, and your mission will be to consolidate this infrastructure, enhance its capabilities, and significantly expand the autonomy of our cross-functional teams.
If you are an early-career professional driven by the desire to build leverage for a team rather than just individual output, this is an exceptional opportunity.
What You Will Own
Your ownership extends across the entire frontend, encompassing not only the code you write but also the creation of systems that enable your colleagues to contribute effectively. This includes developing new features alongside robust workflows, conventions, and guardrails that allow Quality Engineers to test autonomously, Product Managers to contribute confidently, and Designers to transition seamlessly from design to functional implementation without engineering bottlenecks.
Success in this role is measured by the increased capacity and independence of the team around you, directly resulting from the systems and tools you build.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining shared AI conventions to ensure consistency in tooling output across the codebase, regardless of the contributor.
- Developing a comprehensive skills library that encapsulates Angular patterns, API contracts, and business logic into easily invocable team workflows.
- Implementing safe zones and guardrails to facilitate contributions from non-engineers, minimizing the need for subsequent engineering cleanup.
- Creating design-to-code workflows that empower designers to move forward without direct developer involvement.
- Establishing and maintaining a feedback loop with Quality Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to identify and address areas of friction or breakage.
What Success Looks Like
Within 30 days: You will have a clear understanding of the frontend architecture and current cross-functional AI workflows. You will identify codebase strengths, areas of technical debt, and specific pain points for QEs, PMs, and designers, forming a prioritized plan for improvements.
Within 90 days: The skills library will have expanded, enabling QEs to generate test scaffolds from specifications independently. PMs will confidently make frontend contributions within defined safe zones, and designers will experience a smoother path from Figma to testable prototypes. You will have implemented conventions that enhance the consistency of AI tooling output across the team.
Within 6 months: Cross-functional AI workflows will be a significant productivity multiplier. Feature development cycles will shorten due to increased team autonomy. The frontend will be faster, more reliable, and better structured. AI surfaces within Saige and Explore will be robust product experiences, and the engineering, QE, product, and design teams will find your built systems valuable and efficient.
About You
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on Angular development experience, with a track record of building and shipping real projects.
- Proficient understanding of TypeScript and a deep curiosity about browser runtime mechanics.
- Active and serious engagement with AI-assisted coding tools in daily work.
- A strong inclination to consider the impact of your work on others, beyond individual tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with designers, QEs, and PMs, and ensuring follow-through.
Strong Nice-to-Haves
- Exposure to AI-facing UIs (e.g., streaming output, recommendation surfaces, agent interfaces), even in personal projects.
- Experience or keen interest in developer experience, including documentation, shared patterns, and improving codebase usability.
- Demonstrated early signs of cross-functional thinking and making processes easier for non-engineers.
Why Manifest
We are building the essential infrastructure for global human capital mobility, facilitating the movement of students, educational institutions, and employers across more than 50 countries. Cialfo is used in over 2,000 schools, Explore is trusted by 1,000+ universities, BridgeU operates across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, and Kaaiser has guided students since 1997 across India and Southeast Asia.
The market opportunity is substantial, with $700 billion flowing annually in remittances and an projected shortfall of 85 million workers in developed economies by 2030. We are developing the operating system to address these challenges.
With $80 million raised from prominent investors including Tiger Global, SIG, and Square Peg, we are still in an early and exciting growth phase. Our team has already established AI-native engineering infrastructure, featuring shared conventions, a dynamic skills library, and AI-assisted workflows across engineering, QE, product, and design. Key AI capabilities are already in production for Saige and Explore. This is not an aspirational role; you will be joining an established operating system and will be crucial in extending, scaling, and solidifying its future.
