FrontEnd Engineer

Ahead is seeking a Front End Engineer for its SNAP platform in Hyderabad. This role focuses on building intuitive user interfaces atop API-driven backends to support AHEAD’s business workflows. The ideal candidate will leverage TypeScript, React, and Next.js, working collaboratively with backend, QA, product, and AI teams to deliver robust features emphasizing user experience, accessibility, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web frontends using Next.js (React + TypeScript).
• Integrate frontend components with FastAPI or RESTful backend services, contributing to API contract definitions.
• Implement state management, routing, asynchronous data fetching, and error handling strategies.
• Ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and responsive design across all devices, utilizing design system components.
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and integrate test suites into CI pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Optimize application performance, including bundle size, caching, and server-side rendering (SSR/ISR), and enhance UX reliability.
• Collaborate with design and AI teams to create interactive and intelligent user interfaces.

Education & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience building production-grade React/Next.js applications is necessary.

Skills Required:

• Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js, including SSR/ISR and routing concepts.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous data handling, component design, and state management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and containerized environments; basic exposure to Kubernetes/Helm is beneficial.
• A strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and testing best practices; experience with TDD/BDD is advantageous.
• Prior experience visualizing AI outputs or vector search results is a plus.
