Frontend Engineer

Soul Ai is seeking a skilled Front-End Developer for a client's product and engineering team in Mumbai. The role involves translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive code, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and browsers. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like React or Vue, with a dedication to performance, accessibility, and clean code practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular).
• Convert UI/UX designs into responsive and accessible front-end code.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional products.
• Integrate APIs and manage asynchronous data flows (REST, GraphQL).
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end documentation.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and component-based architecture.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, flexbox, and CSS Grid.
• Hands-on experience with Git, browser developer tools, and debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, fetch, axios, or similar.
• Ability to implement accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
• Experience with bundlers like Webpack or Vite.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Next.js, Nuxt.js, or SSR concepts.
• Familiarity with design systems such as Tailwind CSS or Material UI.
• Basic understanding of Figma or working with design files.
• Exposure to testing frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or Jest.
• Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization.
• Experience with deploying front-end applications via Vercel, Netlify, or CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience or a strong portfolio of work may be considered.
