Frontend Engineer

Soul AI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Front-End Developer to join our product and engineering team in Hyderabad. You will be instrumental in translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive code, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices and browsers. We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue, coupled with a passion for performance, accessibility, and writing clean code.

Responsibilities:

• Convert UI/UX designs into responsive and accessible front-end code.
• Develop new user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular).
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver polished products.
• Integrate APIs and manage asynchronous data flows (REST, GraphQL).
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust code quality.
• Actively participate in code reviews and maintain front-end documentation.
• Stay abreast of the latest front-end technologies and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proven experience with React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and component-based architecture.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles, including flexbox and CSS Grid.
• Hands-on experience with Git, browser developer tools, and debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with tools like fetch or axios.
• Ability to implement accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
• Experience with bundlers such as Webpack or Vite.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.js, Nuxt.js, or server-side rendering (SSR) concepts.
• Familiarity with design systems like Tailwind CSS or Material UI.
• Basic understanding of design tools like Figma or experience working with design files.
• Exposure to testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Jest.
• Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience deploying front-end applications via platforms like Vercel, Netlify, or CI/CD pipelines.

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience or a strong portfolio of work may be considered in lieu of formal education.
