Frontend Engineer

FULL Creative is seeking a highly skilled Frontend Engineer for their Chennai, Tamil Nadu location. This role is integral to developing and growing their flagship product, Setmore, a top-ranked scheduling app used by over 60,000 global users and facilitating millions of monthly appointments. As a Frontend Engineer, you will shape the product development and architecture, collaborating within a component team alongside specialists and business stakeholders. You will influence architectural, engineering, and design decisions for new UI development across their product suite, contributing to a NextGen engineering culture.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the design of front-end architecture.
• Develop new features consistently.
• Write high-performing, clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Conduct regular code reviews.
• Strive for zero-defect code and support colleagues to exceed business expectations.
• Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end issues and bugs promptly.
• Assist in defining and refining internal standards, practices, and processes.
• Champion performance, reliability, and security across multiple devices and browsers.
• Advocate for established design principles, accessibility guidelines, and UX standards.

Must have:

• 3+ years of experience building scalable and maintainable cross-platform web applications with modern technologies.
• Excellent working knowledge of React 18+, TypeScript, Webpack, and React Testing Library.
• Good working knowledge of React Design Patterns, including Micro Frontends, React Context, REST API, and SPAs.
• Strong experience collaborating with backend engineers on API design, integration, versioning, and change management.
• Strong experience writing high-quality, well-organized UIs and scalable patterns, utilizing modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, CSS-in-JS), build tools (Vite, ESBuild), and a responsive, mobile-first approach. Commitment to clean code and best software development practices.
• Experience diagnosing and preventing performance and optimization issues, especially at scale.
• Experience refactoring code to improve product design and structure. Ability to be an individual contributor and a proactive team player.
• Proficiency in navigating remote work challenges and maximizing opportunities with diverse global teams.
• Commitment to proactive, empathetic collaboration with colleagues.
• C1 level English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical and architectural concepts clearly and concisely.

Good to have:

• Experience implementing WCAG standards.
• Working experience in SaaS products.
• Experience building a product from scratch.
• Keen interest in maintaining or contributing to open-source repositories.
