AppExFlow is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to join our team in India. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on taking ownership, moving quickly, and delivering high-quality, production-ready code with minimal supervision. We value engineers who can think critically, build efficiently, debug effectively, communicate clearly, and deliver reliably.

Role Overview

As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for the entire frontend development lifecycle. This is a hands-on role where you will own your assigned frontend tasks from conception to deployment, ensuring they are usable, stable, responsive, and ready for release. You will translate designs into pixel-perfect code, manage edge cases, maintain code quality, and provide clear progress updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Core Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Next.js.
  • Extensive experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Proven experience in developing both websites and web applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use modern agentic coding workflows for enhanced speed and efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Capability to engineer independently and debug complex issues.
  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Solid understanding of coding best practices and production discipline.
  • Proficiency in Git version control.
  • Ability to replicate Figma designs with pixel-perfect accuracy.
  • Skill in creating responsive designs, even when mobile-specific designs are not provided.
  • Excellent design taste and attention to detail.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Comfortable communicating via Discord.

Engineering Standards (Non-Negotiable)

  • Code must be clean, scalable, and well-organized. Long files with code dumps are unacceptable.
  • Production practices must be sound, with proper handling of environment variables and configurations.
  • Error states must be managed effectively.
  • Work must be responsive, stable, and accurately adhere to design guidelines.
  • Deliverables must be complete, robust, and ready for public release. Fragile or incomplete work will not be accepted.

What We Care About Most

  1. Deadlines: Meeting committed deadlines is paramount. We expect timely delivery, understanding that modern workflows allow for achievable timelines.
  2. Quality: Sloppy or incomplete work is unacceptable. Whether tasks require speed or precision, the output must be polished, responsive, consistent with designs, and include thorough edge case and error handling.
  3. Communication: Clear, timely, and effective communication is vital. You must be able to explain your work, its rationale, current status, and next steps, both to technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Ownership: We expect engineers to be self-sufficient and problem-solve independently. While support is available, constant handholding is not acceptable.
  5. Adaptability: The ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving frameworks, systems, and workflows is essential. Rigidity and resistance to learning are not suitable for this role.

Hiring Criteria

You are a strong candidate if you:

  • Can showcase real products with live users.
  • Demonstrate strong frontend design and development quality.
  • Deliver polished and accurate implementations.
  • Exhibit solid communication skills.
  • Possess good English speaking and writing proficiency.

Work Setup

This role can be structured as:

  • Full-time: 8 hours/day, 6 days/week (Sunday off), fully remote. Working hours commence from 12:00 PM IST.
  • Project-based: Compensation and working hours are flexible and negotiable, with the primary focus on timely and quality delivery.

Reliable communication via Discord and stable internet are required for all setups.

Compensation

  • Project-based: Negotiable, based on skill, quality, speed, and required support.
  • Semi-qualified Full-time: Rs. 15,000 - Rs. 30,000 per month.
  • Fully qualified Full-time: Rs. 30,000 - Rs. 60,000 per month.
  • Maximum Compensation: Up to Rs. 1.2 lakh per month, contingent on fit, capability, and ownership.
  • Internship: Rs. 3,000 - Rs. 7,000 per month, based on skill.

Hiring Process

The hiring process includes application submission, a qualification questionnaire, an interview call, and potentially a 1-month project-based evaluation or compensation equivalent to 50% of the base pay to confirm fit. Final hiring is confirmed post-successful completion of the evaluation stage.
