This team is instrumental in transforming the newsroom by integrating advanced AI solutions, automation, and smart tools to enhance content creation and streamline operations. The P&T function leverages data analytics and AI to boost audience engagement across all platforms, ensuring BCCL remains at the cutting edge of digital journalism. As a Frontend Developer in Delhi, India, you will be responsible for building responsive, visually engaging, and interactive web applications. This role requires strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React and other JavaScript-based frameworks. You will collaborate with backend teams, implement UI/UX designs, optimize application performance, and contribute to an agile development environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and a B.Tech in Computer Science or MCA/BCA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, responsive frontend applications using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Seamlessly integrate APIs with backend developers for efficient data flow.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices.
- Translate UI/UX designs into functional web applications, ensuring brand consistency and an intuitive user experience.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and performance.
- Identify and resolve frontend bugs and issues.
- Participate actively in an agile development process and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable institution.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in frontend development.
Essential Skills:
- Solid understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design principles, and core JavaScript concepts.
- Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack, Gulp, or npm.
- Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs into frontend applications.
- Skilled in using version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization strategies.
- Experience writing unit tests using client-side testing frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).
