Frontend AI Engineer

We are seeking an Agentic Software Engineer to report directly to the Chief AI Officer. You will rapidly enhance and modernize products across our entire portfolio of systems of record in the commodities world, bringing them into the AI-enabled future.

This role is scoped broadly for someone who enjoys open-ended challenges. We value quality of work, technical rigour, and the drive to take on hard problems with critical thinking rather than conventional frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Build new user-facing products from prototype to production release quickly.
• Work full stack: data models, services, and interfaces; iterate closely with product managers, designers, and customers.
• Modernize established front-end products and backend services to drive sales and retention.
• Extend products with AI-native capabilities such as MCP servers so customers can use their own agents.
• Establish AI-SDLC workflows, test harnesses, and review steps while owning results end-to-end from design to release.

Requirements:

• Strong fundamentals; write clean, maintainable production-grade code with judgment for agent architecture.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in at least one agentic coding tool (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Comfort working up and down the stack; curiosity to steer agents through unfamiliar languages/frameworks.
• Energized by sharing best practices across teams regarding GenAI and coding agents.

Good to Have:

• Front-end/full-stack experience building user-facing applications.
• Shipping in Node/TypeScript with React/Angular, Python, or desktop frameworks (Electron/Tauri).
• Familiarity with enterprise stacks: Java, Microsoft .NET, RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle).
• Design sensibility for non-technical user interfaces.
• Shipping LLM-powered features and MCP servers to production.
• Experience in financial services, trading, or commodity/energy markets.
