About the role:

This is a mid-level Front End Software Developer position dedicated to creating and maintaining high-quality user-facing features for a large-scale digital learning platform. The role is exclusively front-end focused, with a strong emphasis on modern JavaScript and React, accessibility, performance, and maintainable code. You will contribute to an ongoing product used by national governments, global enterprises, and healthcare organizations. This position is central to product delivery, supporting millions of learners globally through reliable, accessible, and user-centered interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality front-end features using modern JavaScript and React.
• Deliver features and enhancements aligned with product roadmaps and sprint goals, emphasizing usability, performance, and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, QA, and backend engineers to translate requirements into well-designed solutions.
• Own the implementation of simple to moderately complex user stories, from development through testing and deployment.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve front-end bugs and issues efficiently.
• Contribute to testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement within an Agile and DevOps delivery framework.
• Maintain and enhance front-end standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and React, building production front-end features.
• 2+ years of experience with front-end fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility.
• 1+ year of experience writing or contributing to unit tests (e.g., Jest), with an understanding of testable code.
• 1+ year of experience using Git or other version control systems in a team setting.
• Experience delivering features within an Agile development workflow.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with DevOps/CI pipelines and the front-end code delivery process.
• Experience deploying or supporting live, production applications.
• Exposure to testing approaches beyond unit testing (e.g., end-to-end testing).
