Front End Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a curious and motivated Frontend Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to our groundbreaking IoT platform and various applications that process billions of data points daily. You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative, intuitive interfaces that bring complex functionalities to life. The platform you build will introduce novel functionality to millions of IoT customers and users. Our engineering philosophy emphasizes scalability, performance, flexibility, security, and simplicity. This role is in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-first environment where you will also gain insights into the exponentially growing EV industry and diverse IoT applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and build best-in-class web applications using JavaScript (React preferred), HTML, CSS, and D3.js.
• Architect scalable, modular, and performant front-end applications and frameworks.
• Ensure application stability, maintainability, and usability through test-driven development and rigorous testing practices.
• Champion modernization efforts and identify opportunities to improve team efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and collaborate with product and project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (5+ years), React.js (3+ years), HTML, CSS, and D3.js. Experience with modern build systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud APIs, such as Google Maps, is a plus.
• Working knowledge of SQL database design is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, a fast learner, with a strong passion for execution.
