Senior Front-End Compiler Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Compiler Engineer for a fully remote position across the UK or EU. You will join a growing compiler-tooling company aiding autonomous-driving businesses in producing safer, compliant, and production-ready software.

The client already serves automotive sector customers but is expanding its capabilities to support safety and compliance requirements for autonomous vehicles (ISO 26262/ASPICE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop front-end compiler and static-analysis tooling for C and C++.
• Build new compiler checks, diagnostics, and code-quality rules.
• Implement automotive coding standards (e.g., MISRA) and compliance guidelines.
• Leverage Clang, LLVM, and related infrastructure to improve analysis performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical direction for the analysis platform.

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience in C/C++ development.
• Hands-on expertise in front-end compilers or static-analysis tools (Clang/LLVM preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of ASTs, parsing, semantic analysis, and compiler diagnostics.
• Familiarity with software quality, safety standards, and maintainability principles essential for autonomous driving applications.
