WordPress Developer - Maintenance & Bug Fixing in Pune

Black Piano is seeking a detail-oriented Freelance WordPress Developer to join our team in Pune, India. This role is focused on maintaining existing WordPress websites, resolving bugs, and implementing small feature updates. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our websites rather than undertaking large-scale development projects.

The ideal candidate is proficient in troubleshooting, comfortable with minor code adjustments, managing plugins, and dedicated to maintaining website stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and fix front-end and back-end bugs across existing WordPress sites.
• Identify and resolve theme and plugin conflicts.
• Execute regular updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• Manage website security patches and ensure proper backup procedures are followed.
• Implement minor UI/UX modifications as requested.
• Optimize website speed and address performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor site uptime and troubleshoot any hosting-related issues.
• Implement small-scale feature enhancements.
• Conduct cross-device and cross-browser testing to ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with design and content teams for minor website adjustments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of direct WordPress development experience.
• Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and foundational JavaScript.
• Proven experience working with various WordPress themes and plugins.
• Familiarity with website hosting environments and cPanel.
• Experience utilizing backup and security plugins.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
