Fraud Analyst - Client Service Operations in Thane
Teamware Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to join our Client Service Operations team. This critical role focuses on identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities across a variety of banking products and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of U.S. financial regulations, common fraud typologies, and proficient data analysis tools. You will conduct research and analyze financial information to support well-informed commercial decisions, monitor financial movements, and contribute to robust fraud prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fraud Detection Alert Analysis & Case Management: Review fraud alerts from surveillance systems, identify patterns and emerging schemes across payment channels (ACH, wire, card, crypto), and assess fraud risk by analyzing customer profiles, behaviors, and transactions. Document findings clearly and escalate cases as needed. Collaborate with client Fraud Risk and Compliance teams to optimize monitoring scenarios and thresholds, recommending process enhancements to minimize false positives and improve detection capabilities.
- Quality, Collaboration & Reporting: Ensure all alerts, investigations, and escalations meet stringent quality standards and documentation requirements. Partner with investigators, compliance officers, and data analytics teams to enhance investigative outcomes. Provide key insights on fraud trends for management reports and dashboards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting, Criminology, Risk Management, or related field preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years in transaction monitoring, fraud risk management, or financial crime investigations, preferably within banking, fintech, or consulting/advisory firms. Familiarity with digital asset/crypto transactions is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with transaction monitoring systems (e.g., Unit 21, Actimize, SAS AML, FIS, Oracle Mantas). Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential, with the ability to manage large datasets and identify anomalies.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with various fraud typologies and detection techniques (e.g., account takeover, first-party fraud, mule accounts, social engineering schemes).
- Certifications (Preferred): CAMS, CFE, CFCS, or similar fraud/AML credentials are advantageous.
