Fraud Analyst - Hybrid in Bengaluru

Toast is seeking a motivated Fraud Analyst to join our Fraud Operations Team. This role is crucial in safeguarding Toast, our customers, and their guests from fraudulent activities across our Fintech suite, including access controls and transaction monitoring.

As a Fraud Analyst, you will be the front line in fraud defense. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing customer accounts for suspicious or unusual activity, determining the need for escalation or reporting, and providing high-quality operational feedback to the Fraud and Risk Team and other stakeholders to enhance Toast's overall fraud program.

Work Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)

Work Timings: Open to rotational 24x7 shifts, including night shifts, and flexible to work on weekends (mandatory).

About this Role:

• Monitor fraud queues to mitigate risk from customer accounts and prevent fraudulent transactions.
• Conduct thorough investigations using internal tools to detect fraudulent activity.
• Review chargeback data to identify meaningful and fraudulent patterns.
• Deliver exceptional experiences to Toast restaurants and prospects through effective written and verbal communication.
• Provide insights on fraud trends specific to various Toast fintech products.
• Collaborate on escalations to provide optimal solutions for customers.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing fraud Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and methodologies.
• Offer insights to Data Analyst, Product, and Engineering Teams to refine existing fraud tools and procedures.

Do You Have the Right Ingredients?

• Any graduate with 1 to 2 years of experience in an Analyst-level role within a Fraud and Risk environment.
• Demonstrated curiosity and strong investigative skills; ability to synthesize data into narratives and identify fraud patterns/trends.
• Capability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to change while focusing on key goals with minimal oversight.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-centric approach with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work in varied environments and 24/7 shifts, including mandatory weekend work.
