About the Role

We are hiring a Founding Backend Engineer (Python + AI) for an equity-based role at RemotCare, an early-stage, AI-first health-tech startup building a privacy-first health intelligence platform for India. We need someone to own the core of our platform, not just execute tickets.

What You'll Own

• Design and build the backend from scratch using Python.
• Develop AI/LLM pipelines on GCP (Vertex AI/Gemini), implementing vector search and RAG.
• Create a high-performance data layer utilizing time-series databases, caching mechanisms, and vector DBs.
• Ensure secure, privacy-first data flows and make critical architecture decisions that influence product direction.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with a heavy focus on Python.
• Hands-on expertise building AI/LLM applications.
• Mastery of high-performance databases, including schema design and query tuning for scale.
• GCP experience (Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery or similar).

Bonus Skills

Understanding of InfoSec principles such as secure design patterns, IAM, encryption, and data privacy regulations.
