Founding Fullstack Engineer

We are seeking a Founding Fullstack Engineer who leans towards backend development but owns the full product experience end-to-end.

Core Responsibilities:

• Own the Product: As a technical founder, you will deep dive into building high-quality products with significant autonomy in shaping the roadmap and strategy.
• Ship Features: Design and implement AI-driven product experiences for enterprises across multi-tenant cloud platforms. Create reusable component libraries to enable rapid development. Build surfaces ensuring accountability for agent actions (approvals, escalations, evidence).
• Set Technical Standards: Act as a technical leader and mentor. Raise the bar on code quality with robust testing, monitoring, and refactoring while balancing speed with sustainable engineering practices.
• Build with Agents: Utilize coding agents in your daily workflow to accelerate delivery and explore innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work across the full stack, integrating backend services with dynamic frontends for seamless user experiences.
• Proficiency in API design (RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC) and system integration.
• Strong background in frontend infrastructure, build systems, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience shipping workflow-heavy products involving approvals, branching logic, audits, and complex states rather than simple CRUD applications.
• Deep experience with relational databases for data-heavy applications.
• Comfort operating within cloud-native environments to deploy, monitor, and operate infrastructure.
• A systems-thinking mindset that prioritizes reusable primitives over bespoke solutions.
• A history of setting technical direction rather than merely executing on others' visions.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Excellent written communication skills essential for our remote and async-heavy environment.
