Founding Frontend Engineer (React/Remix, Vercel) – Build EdTech Startup in India

MindAbs is building a production-ready MVP for an AI-powered cognitive intelligence platform for children aged 6-16. We are seeking a Founding Frontend Engineer to own the entire user experience from the ground up. This high-impact, fast-paced role involves close collaboration with the founder to bring a product from concept to reality rapidly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Build approximately 30+ core screens, including onboarding, dashboards, modules, and interactive user flows.
• Develop rich, interactive UI components using React/Remix, implementing Server-Side Rendering (SSR), routing, and data flows with Remix loaders/actions.
• Integrate authentication systems for parent/kid roles, protected flows, and session handling.
• Set up and manage frontend infrastructure, including Vercel deployments, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and performance monitoring.
• Optimize the frontend for performance, accessibility, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and the founder for rapid iteration cycles.
• Ship a production-ready frontend MVP within weeks.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in building modern web applications.
• Strong expertise in React; Remix experience is highly preferred, with Next.js being acceptable.
• Proven experience in building interactive, product-heavy UIs.
• Solid understanding of routing, SSR, state management, and API integrations with async data handling.
• Hands-on experience with authentication systems (e.g., Clerk, Auth0, Firebase).
• Strong CSS skills, preferably with Tailwind CSS, and meticulous attention to UI detail.
• Familiarity with Vercel deployments and basic frontend DevOps practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest, Playwright, Jest).
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with a high degree of ownership.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the EdTech sector or consumer applications.
• Experience building gamified or highly interactive user experiences.
• Familiarity with real-time updates (WebSockets/polling).
• Exposure to monorepos (e.g., TurboRepo).
• Strong product sense and UI/UX intuition.
