Forwared Deployed Engineer

Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer role at PPLIED is a full-time remote position focused on implementing, customizing, and supporting PPLIED's platform directly for customers and internal teams.

Your Mission:

You will collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your daily tasks include building APIs/data pipelines, configuring features, troubleshooting production issues, improving performance, gathering customer feedback, conducting technical discovery, and proposing enhancements that increase automation quality.

What You'll Do:

• Build & Maintain Infrastructure: Develop REST/GraphQL services, microservices, and data pipelines while ensuring high reliability in production environments using cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.
• Data Engineering Excellence: Leverage relational and NoSQL databases to model complex datasets and optimize performance for data-intensive applications.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with customers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Clearly communicate trade-offs between speed, quality, and feasibility.
• SaaS & HR Tech Expertise: Bring experience supporting SaaS platforms or hiring/marketplace systems (a strong plus) to ensure successful deployments and ongoing adoption in a fast-paced environment.

Your Qualifications:

• Tech Stack Proficiency: Strong skills in modern languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go. Experience with software development best practices is essential.
• Integration & API Mastery: Proven track record integrating APIs and building/maintaining data pipelines using containerization technologies.
• User-Centric Mindset: Comfort working directly with users to ensure successful deployments, alongside a ability to manage priorities in distributed teams.
