Forward Deployed Software Engineer

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Gunshot Detection (Fully Remote), you will operate at the critical intersection of software engineering and customer success. You will work directly with AmberBox's Fortune 100 clients—including corporations, schools, hospitals, government departments, airports, and professional sports teams—to understand their unique operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product Managers (PMs) and engineering teams to scope, build, and deploy features that solve real-world problems for high-profile clients.
• Platform Adaptation: Move fast in complex environments by integrating the platform with existing security infrastructure, customizing alerting workflows, and configuring solutions to address specific client needs (e.g., cameras, access control, mass notification).
• Taking Ownership: Manage features from initial customer conversation through production deployment. You will thrive in ambiguity, enjoy direct exposure to clients, and see the immediate impact of your code on safety outcomes.
