Forward Deployed Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Pune HQ2 team. You will operate at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and complex enterprise software, embedding with customer engineering teams globally to help them transform their development workflows.

This is not a traditional coding role; it focuses on onboarding new teams, guiding platform adoption, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with client engineers on architecture and priorities. You will work closely with US-based teams with regular time zone overlap, ensuring smooth engagement delivery from kickoff to steady state across regions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Blitzy into complex enterprise environments, navigating technical constraints and translating business goals into practical solutions.
• Embed with customer engineering leaders during critical implementations for sprint planning, architecture reviews, and production deployments.
• Build high-quality integrations using Java 17, Spring Boot 3.x (MVC, JPA, Security), REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, Liquibase, Maven, Docker, BOMs, and multi-module projects.
• Create custom solutions, reusable patterns, scripts, and tools to accelerate customer adoption.
• Debug complex issues across infrastructure, microservices, integrations, and the Blitzy platform, including production operations and health checks.
• Drive successful POCs and technical demonstrations that expand into enterprise-wide deployments.
• Maintain high standards for testing (JUnit 5), documentation quality, performance, observability, and security using Cucumber/Gherkin, JMeter, Logback/SLF4J, SpotBugs, SonarQube, Micrometer, Dynatrace, Git, etc.
• Identify recurring needs to inform product priorities and drive enterprise adoption strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate field experience into platform improvements, best practices, open-source contributions, talks, or blogs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience shipping production code in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise with Java 17, Spring Boot ecosystem (Security, JPA), REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, relational databases, Maven, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience operating microservices at scale using cloud architecture, observability tools like Dynatrace/Micrometer Kafka, Avro, Schema Registry, caching strategies, and resilience patterns.
• Mastery of Agile/Scrum methodologies with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders ranging from interns to CTOs.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering, developer tooling, AI/ML integration, or enterprise modernization is highly desired.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through blogs, conference talks, or open-source contributions.
