Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at SquadStack.ai, you will work on building and evolving production-grade Voice AI systems actively used by customers. You'll operate close to real deployments - identifying gaps surfaced by live usage, designing solutions, and shipping them into production.

Responsibilities:

• Building custom integrations, tools, and AI workflows that unblock customer needs.
• Designing and refining AI prompts, RAG systems, and LLM-based solutions for Indian markets.
• Writing production-quality code (Python / JavaScript) adhering to core engineering standards.
• Deciding whether solutions should remain custom, become reusable components, or move into the core product.
• Collaborating with core engineering teams to upstream learnings and reduce future friction for clients in Noida and globally.

Requirements:

• Strong programming fundamentals, preferably in Python or JavaScript.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, incomplete requirements, and evolving customer needs common in fast-paced environments.
• Curiosity about AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG, applied in production environments; prior expertise is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Understanding of core platform capabilities, reusable internal tooling, platform optimisation, and scalable system design.
• Ability to contribute to product roadmaps and sprint-driven development in collaboration with core engineering teams.
• Strong focus on customer usage, success metrics, feedback, product optimisation, and measurable business outcomes relevant to the Indian tech landscape.
• Willingness to develop full-stack engineering skills, product prioritisation, and business decision-making capabilities.
