Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role: Forward Deployed Engineer at DevRev

We are building Computer – your AI teammate. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work with our Customer Experience team to develop solutions on core platforms using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and more.

What You'll Do (70-80% Technical / 30% Customer-Facing)

• Build & Deploy Solutions: Design AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev to customer tech stacks.
• Integrate Systems: Connect via APIs, webhooks, and real-time architectures for seamless data flow.
• Optimize AI Performance: Apply prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search engines, and validate agentic solutions with evals.
• Own Data Insights: Write SQL queries to build dashboards driving customer decisions.
• Travel Ready: Willingness to travel up to 30% for on-site implementations and workshops.

What You Bring

• 5+ years in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Bachelor's/Master's in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python; Nice-to-have: Go.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, function calling, and building evals for agentic AI.
• Deep experience with data synchronization (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and event-driven architectures.
• Skill in serverless/edge deployment (AWS Lambda, GCP Functions), CI/CD, containers.
• Data mapping skills including graph structures and schema alignment.
