Forward Deployed Engineer

Join Augnito as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Bengaluru and operate at the crucial intersection of engineering, customer environments, and product innovation. This hands-on role involves owning deployments end-to-end, focusing on designing and implementing robust integrations between Augnito and hospital systems to ensure seamless adoption into clinical workflows.

As an FDE, you will be instrumental in solving real-world challenges within healthcare environments. Your responsibilities will include building, integrating, troubleshooting, and productionizing solutions that directly influence product evolution. You will lead Augnito deployments across hospitals and enterprise healthcare networks, designing and implementing integrations with EMR/EHR systems and clinical platforms.

Key technical tasks involve developing APIs, middleware, and data pipelines to enable interoperability, building reusable integration frameworks, and writing production-grade backend services using Python (primary) and Go. You will also create deployment tooling, automation scripts, and observability utilities, and develop lightweight frontend tools (dashboards, configuration UIs, validation tools) as needed. A significant part of the role includes working directly with hospital IT teams and clinicians to translate workflows into technical implementations, troubleshooting complex issues across infrastructure, networking, APIs, and data flows, and managing implementations from pilot to full-scale production rollout.

You will be a key conduit, feeding field learnings back into product and engineering to improve scalability and platform capabilities, and supporting technical validations, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept deployments.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.
• Working knowledge of Go (Golang).
• Experience building backend systems with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous workflows.
• Ability to build integrations with third-party or legacy enterprise systems.
• Comfortable developing lightweight frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Linux environments, Docker-based deployments, and hybrid/on-prem infrastructure.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills across system layers.
• Experience writing automation, monitoring, and deployment tooling.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
• Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure, VPN-restricted networks, or air-gapped systems.
• Experience building internal tools, admin dashboards, or workflow-driven interfaces.
