ForgeRock Engineer / Architect (OpenIDM, OpenAM, OpenDJ) - Kolkata

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned ForgeRock Engineer/Architect with 10 to 12 years of experience for their Kolkata, West Bengal, India location. This role involves providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), architecting and designing robust IAM solutions, and driving adoption of best practices across a range of applications and IT resources. The ideal candidate will assess current IAM infrastructure, identify improvement opportunities, and develop strategic roadmaps leveraging technologies like Role-based Access Control (RBAC), Federation, Single Sign-on, Multi-factor Authentication, and Segregation of Duties for on-premise, SaaS, and Azure cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Translate organizational business requirements into effective IAM solutions.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive IAM best practices adoption.
• Architect and plan new or upgrade IAM infrastructure projects.
• Assess current IAM infrastructure and develop service improvement plans focusing on optimization and efficiency.
• Provide security design, consultancy, and assessment services.
• Develop and implement a reference IAM architecture.
• Develop Identity & Access Management strategies and roadmaps, including planning for RBAC, Federation, SSO, MFA, SoD, and reporting/compliance for diverse application environments.
• Partner with IAM build teams to ensure clear project planning and alignment for scalable IAM solutions.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Partners, and Transformation Management Office for plan alignment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a diversified IT or information security role.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience with ForgeRock suite (OpenIM, OpenAM, OpenDJ).
• Proficient in implementing SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.
• Hands-on experience in development and integration with ForgeRock tools like OpenAM and OpenIDM.
• Experience with OpenIDM development, including user provisioning, profile synchronization, and workflows.
• Experience creating policies in OpenAM.
• Technical experience with OpenSSO.
• OpenID Development experience.
• Knowledge of AD, LDAP, and Database integration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, business analysis, and customer relationship management skills.
• Broad understanding of information security tenets and architecture principles.
• Experience developing strategies and roadmaps based on best practices and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of current and emerging cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and mitigations.
• ForgeRock Identity Management Certification (preferred).
• ForgeRock Access Management Certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to identify IAM requirements and validate implementation into a robust architecture.
