Role Overview

The Closing Gap is seeking an experienced Flutter Lead to spearhead the architecture, development, and delivery of high-performance, cross-platform mobile applications. This role also offers exposure to web application development.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of hands-on Flutter expertise and technical leadership capabilities, ensuring the creation of scalable, secure, and performance-optimized applications while actively mentoring and guiding the development team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mobile & Web Architecture and Development

• Lead the end-to-end development of cross-platform mobile applications utilizing Flutter.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of web applications, leveraging technologies such as Flutter Web, React, or Angular.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and performance-driven architectures.
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices across the team.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

2. Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Flutter developers.
• Effectively allocate tasks and monitor sprint deliverables to ensure project progress.
• Ensure timely project delivery, aligning with overarching business objectives.
• Foster knowledge sharing and drive technical upskilling within the development team.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all mobile and web initiatives.

3. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with backend teams to achieve seamless API integration.
• Work in tandem with UI/UX teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality user experiences.
• Coordinate with QA teams to ensure defect-free releases.
• Provide support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and production deployments.

4. Ownership & Delivery Excellence

• Assume full ownership of delivery timelines and technical outcomes for projects.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimizations.
• Address and resolve technical challenges promptly and efficiently.
• Champion continuous improvement in development processes and engineering standards.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in Flutter development.
• Proven track record of building and deploying cross-platform mobile applications.
• Experience with web technologies such as Flutter Web, React, or Angular.
• Solid understanding of mobile and web application architecture principles.
• Demonstrated experience in team handling and technical leadership roles.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with native Android and/or iOS development platforms.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile and web applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience working within enterprise or regulated environments.
