Financial Data & BI Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data & BI Analyst for a 12-month contractual role, with potential for extension. This hybrid position requires strong analytical and accounting capabilities, with hands-on experience in Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Financial Modelling, and Advanced Excel (including Macros).

As a Financial Data & BI Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and strategic business decision-making. Your primary responsibility will be transforming raw data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize financial dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Query, and SQL, encompassing data extraction, cleaning, and multi-tool analysis.
• Automate repetitive reporting tasks and enhance continuous process improvements through the creation of automated processes and dynamic reporting solutions using Advanced Excel and Macros.
• Support crucial financial planning activities including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
• Conduct data modelling to identify key business trends, potential risks, and emerging opportunities, delivering insights that inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with Finance and Business teams to thoroughly understand reporting requirements and deliver timely, relevant insights.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations aimed at improving revenue growth, cost efficiency, and operational performance by translating complex data into tangible business outcomes.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting systems.
• Present analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and structured format.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in financial data analysis or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced SQL is essential.
• Strong command over Advanced Excel, Power Query, and Macros.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, ratios, and forecasting concepts is required.
• Demonstrated ability to convert data into compelling narratives and actionable insights.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Nice to have: Exposure to financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights), understanding of statistical techniques, forecasting models, or basic programming (Python/R).
