Financial Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance Analyst at SRV Media in Pune to support critical business decision-making through rigorous financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. You will collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and diverse business teams to ensure strong financial control and data-driven growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including P&L statements, cash flow analysis, and variance assessments.
• Analyze revenue streams, costs, margins, and profitability metrics across various business lines to identify trends and opportunities.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor overall business performance metrics accurately.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts to guide strategic planning.
• Monitor budget versus actuals, highlighting potential risks and growth opportunities for management review.
• Support scenario planning activities and complex financial modeling projects.

Business & Strategic Support:

• Provide actionable insights on pricing strategies, client profitability assessments, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis and interactive dashboards for real-time decision-making.
• Partner with business teams to evaluate new initiatives, investments, and market expansion opportunities.

Controls & Compliance:

• Ensure all financial processes adhere strictly to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit preparations and compliance mandates across the organization.
• Coordinate effectively with accounting departments and external consultants when required for complex audits or assessments.

Data & Systems:

• Maintain robust financial models and Management Information System (MIS) reports to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Leverage industry-standard tools including Excel, Google Sheets, ERPs, and BI dashboards for analysis and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation processes and enhance overall reporting efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

• CA (Inter / Final), MBA Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification in finance/accounting is required.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, FP&A roles, or corporate finance environments.
• Previous experience within the media, digital marketing, SaaS, or service-based sectors is highly preferred and will be an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Mastery of advanced Excel / Google Sheets functionalities including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in building accurate financial models for forecasting future performance.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and GAAP standards.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is considered a significant plus for data visualization tasks.

Soft Skills:

• Possess strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial challenges.
• Evidence of clear, concise communication abilities when interacting with non-finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail combined with a proactive ownership mindset in all deliverables.
