Field Service Engineer
Intelex Technologies ULC is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of our global EHSQ software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation, Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee the installation and perform rigorous testing and commissioning of Qualitrol equipment and systems at customer locations.
- Configure and integrate hardware and software components to ensure seamless operation.
- Verify that all deployed systems meet stringent performance, quality, and safety benchmarks.
- Conduct both Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to validate system functionality.
2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and software-related issues.
- Provide expert on-site and remote troubleshooting support to address and rectify system faults.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to guarantee long-term system reliability and performance.
- Identify the root causes of system failures and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
3. Customer Support & Training
- Deliver comprehensive training to end-users on the proper operation, maintenance, and best practices for equipment.
- Offer responsive technical support to customers, focusing on minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Promptly report all encountered issues and resolutions through appropriate channels.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Adhere strictly to all relevant local safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Ensure complete compliance with customer-specific regulations and requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and meticulously follow established safety procedures in all field operations.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and update Salesforce records accurately.
- Compile technical documentation, recording all test results, troubleshooting steps, and successful resolution processes.
- Provide valuable feedback to the Applications or Engineering teams to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.
6. Continuous Learning & Improvement
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, diagnostic tools, and emerging industry trends.
- Actively participate in training sessions and pursue certifications as mandated by the company.
- Assist in the deployment of system upgrades and contribute to performance optimization initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically Electrical and Electronics.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on field service experience within a comparable industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Protection Relay, GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), Transformer Testing, and Commissioning.
- Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools and interpreting drawing schematics and technical manuals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills essential for managing customer relationships effectively.
- A strong willingness to travel extensively across the Middle East and Africa, with potential for occasional international assignments.
- A compulsory medical report submission is required before an offer can be issued, to ensure participation in client projects.
- A valid driving license is mandatory for internal licensing to facilitate remote site visits.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage responsibilities autonomously.
