FBS Associate Data Engineer

About the Role

Join Capgemini's BW SOON Data Team as a Junior Data Engineer in Pune, supporting data analysis from multiple source systems under senior guidance. You will assist in developing data marts, creating models (STTMs), and documenting technical designs for enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and profile data from DB2, Oracle, and distributed platforms using ODI to build ETL/ELT pipelines with intermediate experience.
• Create dimensional models (Kimball, Third Normal Form), Data Vault concepts, and Medallion Architecture solutions within the Capgemini ecosystem.
• Assist in developing SQL-based data warehouse/mart solutions, troubleshooting queries, performing basic performance tuning, and resolving production issues for DB2/Oracle environments.
• Collaborate with business partners to design data products, supporting requirements from strategy through operations in Pune Division.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives (AWS/Azure exposure a plus) including metadata management, reconciliation processes, PII protection, and compliance controls.
• Leverage beginner-to-intermediate Python skills for automation tasks while mastering Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Airflow, and GitHub version control.
