About the Role

Join our FBS Agile Development team as a key member, contributing to the development and Quality Assurance (QA) of Personal Lines applications covering Auto, Home, and Umbrella domains. This role involves the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, impact identification, feature updates, user story creation, development, unit testing, integration testing, and delivery to QA.

The QA aspect includes insprint, functional regression, performance, data, and rate testing. You will create defects, adhere to QA strategies and best practices for successful production implementation. The team follows a comprehensive process of understanding requirements, developing solutions, unit and integration testing, preparing test objectives and plans, creating test data, documenting in Rally, executing tests, running tools, generating reports, validating results, and retesting resolved defects.

This position emphasizes automation and innovation across development and QA to drive productivity improvements. Strong collaboration with Business, Product, IT Development, QA, and Production Support is crucial for successful implementations.

You will define the overall development and testing strategy, manage related activities, participate in proposal preparation, lead the implementation of new processes and tools, develop quality criteria, validate system acceptability, and provide stop/go recommendations. The role also involves overseeing workflow, ensuring service levels are met, interfacing with business and IT groups, resolving issues, and providing in-depth training on testing processes, methods, and tools.

This is a hands-on leadership role for Development and QA testing of features and projects in Personal Lines. You will perform all team functions, drive automation through AI and tools, and foster innovation for productivity gains. Excellent collaboration skills are expected for successful implementation. A strong understanding of Mainframe and Guidewire Policy Center for Auto, Home, and Umbrella P&C lines of business is required, along with experience in both Waterfall and Agile delivery models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Development and QA testing for Personal Lines features and projects.

• Collaborate effectively with business, product, IT, and support teams.
• Define and implement development and testing strategies.
• Ensure quality criteria and measuring techniques are established and followed.
• Oversee workflow and work distribution within the development and testing areas.
• Provide training on testing processes, methods, and tools.
