About The Role
Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Facility Operations Center Engineer in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. You will be part of the team that keeps the cloud running, supporting all global data centers and critical IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling.
Your Responsibilities:
- Monitor Amazon's global facilities infrastructure platform from India, ensuring 24x7 availability and reliability to meet service level objectives (SLOs).
- Serve as a Point of Contact for internal teams and external stakeholders during critical incidents.
- Develop communication and escalation protocols to enhance team performance.
- Analyze outage post mortems and coordinate emergency recovery efforts with global peers.
- Maintain accurate records in operational tools and contribute to building next-gen monitoring solutions.
What You'll Bring:
We seek candidates with 3+ years of experience in data center or critical environment operations. Familiarity with facilities management, on-call support for mission-critical plants (e.g., hospitals, power grids), and the ability to think outside the box are essential.
