EY is seeking a Senior Conversational Developer to join their AI Enabled Automation team in Trivandrum, India. The Senior Conversational Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing complex solutions using Python, data engineering, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js. Experience in conversational AI, including leveraging Generative AI for chatbot solutions, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications.
• Write custom JavaScript code and integrate with backend services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and meet business needs.
• Test, debug, and refine applications for optimal performance and user experience.
• Provide mentorship and conduct code reviews for junior developers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in chatbot development.
• 1-3 years of prior relevant experience in a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, AJAX, and API integrations.
• Knowledge of NLP and ML techniques in the context of conversational AI.
• Experience with other chatbot platforms is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
• A portfolio demonstrating successful chatbot projects is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong skills in Python, JavaScript frameworks/related web technologies, server-side programming (e.g., Node.js), and Azure cloud.
• Familiarity with API design and development, including RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with databases, including relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) for handling unstructured and semi-structured data.
• Familiarity with the Conversational AI domain, conversational design & implementation, customer experience metrics, and industry-specific challenges.
• Familiarity with NLP and ML applications in chatbots, including feature extraction, entity extraction, and intent classification.
• Understanding of conversational data (chats, emails, calls) and its preprocessing for training Conversational AI systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
• Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in AI and conversational technologies.
