EY GDS (Global Delivery Services) is seeking a skilled Data Modeller for a Gig role in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize tools and techniques to analyze data collection, updating, storage, and exchange processes.
• Define and implement data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Design, review, and maintain data models.
• Conduct data analysis to capture data requirements and represent them visually.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of data models, from requirements to maintenance.
• Collaborate with data engineers to create optimized physical data models.
• Identify opportunities to enhance business activities through data utilization.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Experience: 3 - 7 years
• Data Modelling: 3+ years of relevant knowledge.
• Data Modelling Tools: Experience with Erwin Data Modeler, ER studio, Toad, etc.
• SQL: Strong knowledge.
• ETL: Basic skills to ensure implementation meets specifications for data translation, mapping, and transformation.
• Data Warehousing: Good knowledge.
• Data Quality & Profiling: Knowledge of techniques and tools.
• Optional: Visualization skills.

Qualifications:

• Computer Science degree or equivalent, with 3 - 7 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies is preferable.
• Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Experience in enterprise-grade solution implementations and converting business challenges into technical solutions, considering security, performance, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Involvement in all aspects of the solution delivery lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Client management skills.
