Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Data and Analytics (D&A) team as a Senior Snowflake expert in Gurgaon, India. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients solve complex business challenges using data and technology. Our D&A team specializes in extracting maximum value from data across various industries including Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced big data engineers with proven delivery capabilities and a strong understanding of technology and data. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm and contribute to a growing Data and Analytics practice.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and architect the migration of data analytics environments from Teradata to Snowflake, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Develop and deploy big data pipelines in cloud environments using Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
• Design, develop, and migrate existing on-premises ETL routines to cloud services.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and contribute to workstream delivery.
• Design and optimize model codes for enhanced execution speed.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Hands-on experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
• Proficiency in Snowflake development and modeling (roles, schema, databases).
• Experience integrating with third-party tools, ETL, and DBT tools.
• Familiarity with Snowflake advanced concepts such as resource monitors and performance tuning is preferred.
• Experience applying object-oriented and functional programming styles (Java/Scala/Python) to Big Data Engineering challenges.
• Ability to develop data pipelines for batch and real-time/stream analytics on structured and unstructured data.
• Understanding of data processing patterns, distributed computing, and building real-time and batch analytics applications.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake products.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

• A Computer Science degree or equivalent with 3-7 years of industry experience.
• Experience working in Agile delivery methodologies is preferred.
• A flexible, proactive, and self-motivated working style with strong ownership of problem resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep technical expertise in all aspects of Snowflake.
• Experience deploying Snowflake following best practices and enabling customer knowledge transfer.
• Hands-on experience guiding customers on Snowflake implementation best practices.
• Strong understanding of competitive and complementary technologies.
• Experience working with System Integrator consultants on Snowflake deployments.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to resolve customer-specific challenges.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Client management skills.

What We Look For:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architect on Analytics solutions, with approximately 2 years of dedicated Snowflake experience.
