EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Consulting practice is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer specializing in AI and Data, with a focus on Palantir technologies, to join our team in Kolkata, West Bengal. This role is ideal for a Big Data Developer or Senior Data Engineer with 3 to 6+ years of experience who possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, programming, business KPI understanding, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a self-learner, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a diverse stakeholder group, particularly within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, integrations, and workflows within the Palantir Foundry platform.
• Leverage hands-on experience with Palantir solutions such as Usecase, DTI, Code Repository, and Pipeline Builder.
• Perform data analysis within Palantir for insight extraction and Exploratory Data Analysis using tools like Contour.
• Utilize programming languages and query scripting (e.g., Python, SQL) for data interaction and analysis.
• Apply understanding of relational data structures and data modeling principles, including OLAP engine concepts, for data optimization.
• Work with distributed frameworks and automation using Spark APIs (PySpark, Spark SQL, RDD/DF) and external libraries (Pandas, NumPy) to automate processes within Palantir.
• Implement API integrations to connect Palantir with other systems and applications for seamless data flow.
• Analyze and design integration specifications for various scenarios, including Batch/Realtime Flow and Incremental Load.
• Optimize data pipelines and fine-tune Foundry configurations to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Conduct unit testing, identify issues, perform debugging and troubleshooting, and create end-user documentation.
• Demonstrate strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and Data Modeling challenges.
• Understand and apply data security principles to ensure data privacy and security when handling sensitive information.
• Integrate machine learning and AI capabilities within the Palantir environment for advanced analytics.

Non-Technical Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, understand business needs, and drive innovation in data processes and solutions.
• Ensure adherence to policies for data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the effective utilization of Palantir Foundry.
• Engage in self-driven learning of new technologies aligned with organizational requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a team or independently as an engineer in a highly collaborative environment.
