EY GDS is seeking a talented Big Data Developer/Senior Data Engineer with 3 to 6+ years of experience to join our Data and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, programming, and business KPI understanding skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities. You should be a detail-oriented self-learner, capable of consistently meeting deadlines and working independently when required. This role demands the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, particularly within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical domains.

Responsibilities and Duties

Technical

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, integrations, and workflows using Palantir Foundry.
• Demonstrate detailed understanding and hands-on experience with Palantir Solutions such as Usecare, DTI, Code Repository, and Pipeline Builder.
• Analyze data within Palantir to extract actionable insights and perform Exploratory Data Analysis (e.g., using Contour).
• Utilize programming languages and query scripts like Python and SQL for data interaction and analysis.
• Apply knowledge of relational data structures and data modeling principles, including OLAP engine concepts, to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Leverage distributed frameworks and automation with Spark APIs (PySpark, Spark SQL, RDD/DF) and external libraries (Pandas, NumPy) for automating processes within Palantir.
• Integrate Palantir with other systems and applications via APIs to ensure seamless data flow.
• Understand integration analysis, specification, and solution design for various scenarios, including batch/real-time flows and incremental loads.
• Optimize data pipelines and fine-tune Foundry configurations to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Perform unit testing, identify and debug issues, and provide end-user documentation.
• Apply strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and Data Modeling problem statements.
• Ensure data privacy and security by adhering to relevant security principles when handling sensitive information.
• Integrate machine learning and AI capabilities within the Palantir environment to support advanced analytics.

Non-Technical

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, understand business needs, and drive innovation in data processes and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with policies for data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the effective utilization of Palantir Foundry.
• Demonstrate a commitment to self-driven learning of new technologies to meet organizational requirements.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team or individually as an engineer.
