We are seeking a skilled Data Architect or Data Strategist with expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and strong capabilities in data architecture and strategy design. In this role, you will architect and implement data-driven strategies to support client ESG initiatives and enhance their sustainability reporting. You will also be instrumental in our pre-sales activities, effectively presenting our data solutions to prospective clients.
This role presents a significant opportunity to collaborate with leading Sustainability and ESG professionals at EY in Europe, lead sustainability discussions and proposals for major multinational corporations, and accelerate your career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transformative Data Strategy and Data Architecture proposals, managing complex data architecture projects for large enterprises.
- Apply expertise and leadership to plan, monitor, manage, and support critical aspects of the data architecture lifecycle.
- Collaborate with EY presales teams, technology project teams, and business leaders to translate ESG and sustainability business requirements into data solutions, employing persuasive influencing and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand business strategy and requirements to envision and implement advanced architectures that enable organizational goals.
- Conceptualize data management architectures and solutions, ensuring data quality, security, transparency, and compliance with ESG regulations and standards.
- Design business data strategies and roadmaps for deploying scalable and efficient data architectures, focusing on data storage, processing, lineage, and management systems to support ESG initiatives and reporting.
- Develop solutions for integrating diverse data sources and platforms to create a unified view of an organization's ESG data landscape.
- Stay current with ESG reporting trends, regulations, and best practices, and recommend continuous improvements to data strategies and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience designing data strategies and roadmaps, preferably leveraging Azure or similar data platforms.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in data architecture roles, with a focus on business data needs.
- Proven experience in data architecture, data management, and data platform implementation.
- Experience with Data Products and Data Mesh frameworks.
- Experience in building reporting applications.
- Understanding of ESG principles, standards, and regulations, including CSRD reporting requirements.
- Experience with client workshops, proposal design, and pre-sales activities.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Demonstrated background in sustainability.
- Experience with ESG-specific data platforms or tools.
- Familiarity with industry-specific ESG metrics and benchmarks.
