Full Job Description
Join EY GDS in Kolkata, West Bengal, as a Senior Data Analyst specializing in AI and Data with a focus on Azure. We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in ETL services to contribute to our dynamic Data and Analytics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in gathering data requirements, preparing essential data requirement artifacts, and developing data integration strategies. Your expertise in data quality will ensure seamless data flow across our systems, working closely with data engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in the P&C Insurance domain, interacting with stakeholders and source teams to gather data requirements.
- Show specialized skill in Policy, Claims, and/or Billing insurance source systems.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the policy and claims lifecycle, including various transactions.
- Prepare data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and understand underlying transformation logic.
- Highlight experience in insurance products, including Guidewire and/or Duckcreek.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance data models, such as Policy Centre, Claim Centre, and Billing Centre.
- Create diverse data scenarios using the Insurance suite for consumption by the data team for testing.
- An understanding of insurance statutory or regulatory reports is advantageous.
- Discover, design, and develop analytical methods to support novel approaches to data and information processing.
- Perform data profiling manually or using profiling tools.
- Identify critical data elements and PII handling processes and mandates.
- Understand the handling process for historic and incremental data loads and generate clear requirements for data integration and processing for the engineering team.
- Analyze data quality, determine data meaning, and provide data facts and insights.
- Interface and communicate directly with onsite teams to understand requirements and determine optimum data intake processes.
- Be responsible for creating High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents to guide the data engineering team's build efforts.
- Provide product and design-level functional and technical expertise, along with best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BE/BTech/MTech/MCA with 4 to 9 years of industry experience in data analysis, management, and related data service offerings.
- Proven experience in Insurance domains.
- Strong analytical and SQL skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience using Agile methodologies.
- Experience using cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
