EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Consulting team is seeking an AI and Data Azure Data Engineer at the Staff level in Kolkata, West Bengal. As part of the Data and Analytics (D&A) team, you will help clients solve complex business challenges using data and technology, extracting maximum value and uncovering opportunities across various industries like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.

The opportunity involves developing and deploying big data pipelines in cloud environments using Azure Cloud services. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and migrating ETL processes from on-premise to cloud services, interacting with senior leaders to understand business goals, and optimizing model codes for faster execution.

We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of big data engineering and proven delivery capabilities. Essential skills include 1-3 years of IT experience with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), including hands-on experience with the latest ADF version. You should also have practical experience with Azure Functions, Azure Synapse (formerly SQL Data Warehouse), Azure Data Lake/Blob storage, Azure Batch account configuration, Azure Databricks, and Logic Apps. The ability to independently coordinate with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into ADF implementations is crucial.

To qualify, you should be a computer science graduate or equivalent with 1-3 years of industry experience. Experience in Agile delivery methodologies is preferable. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, self-motivated, and possess strong ownership of problem resolution, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will participate in all phases of the Big Data solution delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
