EXPERIENCE 3D Test Automation Lead
Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Lead to define, develop, and spearhead automated testing strategies for our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. This role requires deep expertise in ENOVIA, CATIA, and Autodesk Inventor, coupled with hands-on proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium and TestComplete. You will be instrumental in exploring and adopting new tools and frameworks to enhance automation coverage across complex CAD and PLM environments. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Solution Architects, developers, functional consultants, and customer teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable PLM solutions.
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define the comprehensive testing approach for upgrade projects, encompassing regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance support.
- Develop and maintain a structured test plan aligned with project timelines and business priorities.
- Determine the optimal balance between manual and automated tests based on risk, effort, and available tooling.
Test Management & Coordination
- Supervise and coordinate a team of 2-3 testers through all testing phases.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure strict adherence to test plans and quality standards.
- Facilitate daily syncs or weekly checkpoints with the test team and provide regular progress reports to the project lead.
Tool Management (Jira / XRay)
- Configure and maintain test cycles, test plans, and traceability matrices within XRay.
- Ensure seamless linkage between test cases, user stories, and defects in Jira.
- Monitor the defect lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with functional, technical, and business teams.
Automation Coordination (Selenium, Test Complete)
- Oversee and actively participate in the execution of existing Selenium and TestComplete automated tests.
- Identify opportunities for automation expansion, focusing on critical regression scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers and automation engineers on test script maintenance and reporting.
Risk & Quality Assurance
- Identify high-risk areas and ensure focused test coverage for critical functionalities.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide informed recommendations for go/no-go release decisions.
- Support the project team in validating environment readiness for each testing phase.
Stakeholder Communication
- Engage closely with business representatives, stream leads, and IT stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
- Regularly report on test progress, quality status, and defect trends to the project steering committee.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and TestComplete.
- Exposure to testing or automating ENOVIA, CATIA, and/or Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and test management processes.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD integration for automated testing.
