Environmental Engineer

Hubert Enviro Care Systems is actively seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our team in Chennai. This crucial role will involve managing environmental compliance and regulatory processes for projects requiring Environmental Clearance (EC).

The primary responsibilities include the preparation of comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, obtaining necessary statutory consents such as Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO), managing post-EC compliance, and conducting vital field monitoring activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports for projects necessitating Environmental Clearance (EC).
• Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities to secure:
  • Consent to Establish (CTE)
  • Consent to Operate (CTO)
  • Post-Environmental Clearance (Post-EC) compliances
• Undertake baseline environmental monitoring across air, water, soil, and noise parameters.
• Coordinate with accredited laboratories and external consultants for the precise analysis of environmental data.
• Ensure strict adherence to all applicable environmental regulations and statutory norms.
• Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Provide support for public hearing processes and associated documentation as required.
• Meticulously maintain all environmental documentation and records in accordance with regulatory mandates.
• Conduct site inspections and field assessments to verify the effective implementation of environmental safeguards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 0 to 5 years of experience in EIA preparation and environmental compliance is preferred.
• Solid understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing CTE, CTO, and EC processes.
