Entrepreneur in Residence

Entrepreneur in Residence - Founder's Office

We are looking for a deeply technical, entrepreneurial person to work directly with our Founder on priorities, new initiatives, and important decisions. This is not a coordination role; you will build, decide, and ship.

• About Us: Defmate is building sovereign AI for Indian defence, including the Nirnay Decision Engine and Defence Language Models. Our founder has built, scaled, and exited businesses before, with ventures creating over US$100 million in value.
• The Role: Work across Product (converting defence problems into products), Technology (challenging architecture with AI teams), Customers (sitting with defence users), Business Building (evaluating opportunities and partnerships), and 0→1 Execution. You may become the owner of initiatives that lack an owner.
• Ideal Candidate: We seek someone with 2–5 years of experience who is a builder rather than a coordinator, comfortable moving between code, product, customers, and business. Essential qualifications include at least 1 year working with cutting-edge AI models (building, fine-tuning, evaluating, deploying) and experience in startups or founding teams.
• Location: Gurugram, Gurgaon / India (On-site).
